VapeTeller answers,

After one knows what a starter kit is, one needs to know what an e-liquid is. Unless one is using the pre-filled disposable vapes, s/he needs to buy something known as an e-liquid too. An e-liquid is an oil that fuels a vape. It may or may not contain nicotine but, contains artificial flavours that one can choose according to ones liking to the taste buds. It may be a misunderstanding to many beginners that after buying an expensive vape, they can use just any e-liquid to go with it. That is just a myth. Vaping is not just having a vape, rather, it is only half of what vaping is. Vaping constitutes of both a vape and an e-liquid, the latter being the fuel to drive the prior.

An e-liquid is a blend of Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG) along with flavours and it may or may not contain nicotine. The amount of nicotine in the liquid is measured in milligrams. The mg of an e-liquid is the amount of nicotine present in one milliliter of volume. One needn’t be scared of the terms Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG), since they are food grade products, and are oils that are used in making e-liquids. They both can be found in the most common of household items, like, nicotine inhalers, cosmetics, sweeteners and other oral hygiene products. PG is essentially the oil that gives the “throat hit” to vapers and carries the flavour much efficiently than VG. VG, on the other hand, gives thickness to the liquid, thereby giving a bigger cloud, and also gives a smoother hit to the vaper. One can choose accordingly as to which ratio (PG/VG 50/50, 35/65, 40/60 or 30/70) s/he may prefer to start vaping.

Now that the technicalities are done, one should know the flavours s/he must pick. All of this part comes down to the vapers taste buds. There are an abundant of flavours available in the market and one is sure to find what meets the pleasant side of his/her tongue. From fruity flavours to sweet, dessert and creamy ones, from citrus flavours to tobacco ones, all are available in the market. There might be flavours that one may not find pleasing or irritating to the throat too but, that doesn’t mean s/he should simply quit. For someone vaping on citrusy flavours, one should prefer a liquid which has a higher PG content, and for other creamy and sweet one, one with higher VG.

One can simply agree that vaping is not all that simple, but that doesn’t mean one should give it up and revert back to smoking a tobacco cigarette. One can simply not use this as an excuse to smoke again, because in the long run, that will lead to much more harm. One should know that nicotine in the cigarette is not the killer, it is the smoke and other toxins that one allows to enter his body with each puff. Switch to a healthier habit, start vaping.
